We managed to repulse the enemy with few losses. Lieutenants Daniel Gardner and Joseph Webb displayed exemplary bravery and skillful manipulation of their powered exoskeletons, leading the men under their authority to victory. God was merciful.
The plans remain intact, as does the equipment. We've made a lot of progress the last few weeks in many fields, especially in the area of the Alpha. Our men's reports from the field, both the United States and allied, indicate that all of the upgrades are working. Unfortunately, while they have reduced losses, we are simply far outnumbered, though not outgunned.
Our escape ships were unharmed and are currently being loaded. I pray that the enemy will stay gone long enough for us to evacuate - and this time, it won't be to another section of earth. I can tell the men are worried that it's finally come to this. I'm worried, too. Give us strength, God, as we take flight.

All systems are go, the preparations are through, we're exiting earth like a hypercharged asteroid. Our fleet of sixteen isn't prepared for much of an onslaught, but we're trusting in evasion, and, of course, Providence. The enemy attacked right as were almost ready, costing many of our best men. I know that they're with Christ now, but that doesn't give me much consolation. We need them. But their sacrifice was not in vain.
Earth is becoming invisible, but an enemy fleet is becoming larger on the radar. The pilots have no choice but to temporarily engage, as they're sending in fighters. Webb and Gardner, Daniels, so many of my best are among them.
Evasion was successful, and by some miracle, all of our men returned alive, though some by just a hair.
Navigation assured me that our destination is getting closer, but they seem pretty clueless now. I guess that this is what it feels like to be lost in outer space.

We managed to get back on track, thank God. Research, such as can be done on board our vessels, is advancing smoothly. I don't know when the Alpha will reach its completion. But it will. True freedom only comes from the Gospel, but sometimes, to defend the freedom that allows its spread, it requires a gun.
Morale is as high as can be expected. The men aren't worried about themselves, they're worried about home. Our technology will keep us alive. But at home, it's technology versus technology, man versus man, and, unfortunately, Christ hasn't returned yet, so we have to keep fighting.
The planet we've been searching for is drawing very near. I'm going to go down with a few lieutenants and a squad of men to get the most accurate readings possible.
This place is perfect. Here, we can develop unhindered. Then we can return home. God, enable us to swiftly leave this distant planet.
